Some plots were planted as early as 1851, the vineyard Font du Broc is today recognized as one of the most beautiful vineyards of Provence. From the old Provençal dialect, the name of the estate “Font” – the fountain – and “Broc” – the pitcher – is a promise of fertility for the lands that surround it. Font du Broc is the flagship estate of the vineyards Massa. Built on the heights Var, in the heart of the appellation of Côtes de Provence, between the Estérel and the Gulf of St Tropez, the Château Font du Broc is adorned with lush flavours of Provence.

The Font du Broc vineyard extends to over 80 acres of landscapes terraces. On these lands, that benefits of a remarkable location and rare terroir, one of the best in the entire Cotes de Provence appellation, the vines draw the strength necessary for the development of the organoleptic qualities of the grape.

The Chateau Font du Broc benefits of a remarkable location, in the heart of a rare terroir – one of the best in the appellation – on a geological confrontation zone where the clay-limestone soils of the Alpes and the volcanic soils of the Maures mountains.
In addition, the land has preserved, in memory of the sea that once ruled there, a so-called shelled limestone rock. These concretions present cavities allowing the vine’s roots to insert itself directly in the rock, thus improving the minerality of the wine.

Organic farming abandons chemical fertilizers, synthetic pesticides, weed killers, hormones and other genetic manipulations in favor of natural methods such as plowing, the use of organic fertilizers, controlled grass and treatments based on Bordeaux mixture. At Chateau Font du Broc, organic farming, acquired in 2013, is a philosophy of life, supported by a traditional viticulture respectful of the environment.

Our team has always took care of the vineyard using traditional techniques such as: Optimized tillage and grassing; the shredding of the shoots and the use of the manure produced by the horses of theStud Farm that brings to the vines the necessary complements.
